Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) presidential candidate in the recently completed general election, has stated that the PDP is prepared to form an alliance with Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP).
This assertion was made by Atiku on Thursday during a news conference.
“I don’t think we will have any problem if he (Obi) wants to dialogue with PDP — either form an alliance or not,” he said.
Atiku chose Obi to be his running partner in the 2019 presidential contest.
This time, however, both men were vying for the PDP nomination until Obi switched to the LP.
After Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, APC, who was proclaimed the winner, Atiku came in second place, with Obi coming in third.
The two men will challenge the official INEC results in court.
