Obi floors Soludo’s APGA, Wins Anambra with over Half-a-Million Votes

Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) and former Anambra governor, Mr. Peter Obi, has won his home state with a wide margin, in the Saturday’s presidential and national assembly elections.

Though Anambra is All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA)-controlled state with Charles Soludo as Governor, Obi defeated the party’s candidate including the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) rivals.

He polled a total of 584,621 valid votes cast, while his closest rival, Atiku came second with 9,036 votes, with Tinubu taking the third place with 5,111 votes.

YPP: 1,997
