BREAKING: PDP Expels Sen. Nnamani, Fayose’s Aide, Others

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has approved the expulsion of some members of the party earlier suspended in some states over alleged anti-party activities.

In a statement issued by Debo Ologunagba, National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, on Friday, he said the decision to expel the erstwhile party members was taken at the 566th meeting of the NWC held today.

Those affected by the decision include, Senator Chimaroke Nnamani (Enugu State), Hon. Chris Ogbu (Imo State), and Ajijola Lateef Oladimeji (Ekiti Central).

Others are an aide to ex-Gov. Ayo Fayose of Ekiti, Olayinka James Olalere (Ekiti Central II), Fayose Oluwajomiloju Joh (Ekiti Central I), Akerele Oluyinka (Ekiti North I) and Emiola Adenike Jennifer -(Ekiti South II).

The expulsion takes effect from today, Friday, February 10, 2023, the PDP stated.

“The decision of the NWC is sequel to the recommendation of the National Disciplinary Committee and pursuant to Sections 58 and 59 (1)(g) of the PDP Constitution (as amended in 2017),” the statement added.

The PDP charged all members across the country to remain united and focused on the mission of the Party to “Rescue, Rebuild and Redirect our nation from misrule.”
