Online discussion has been sparked by a letter that purports to be Manir Dan Iya’s resignation from the People’s Democratic Party as deputy governor of Sokoto State.
The deputy governor thanked the party for the chance to serve in an unconfirmed letter dated February 8 that was written to the Ward Chairman of Kware Ward, Kware Local Government.
The letter read, “I write to notify you of withdrawal of my membership from the People’s Democratic Party with effects from February 8, 2023.
“I appreciate the opportunities given to me which made me serve in various capacities under the PDP,” the letter reads.
