The Presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic party (PDP) in the forth coming general elections, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has approved the appointment of Comrade Jerry Ehiwarior as member of the 2022 Presidential Campaign Organisation (PCO).

Ehiwarior who is currently the Senior Special Assistant to the Delta State Governor on Students Affairs as well as the National coordinator, Atiku/Okowa Students Movement would join other members of the PDP 2022 Presidential Campaign Council in the swearing in ceremony billed for Wednesday, September 28, 2022.

Speaking in a telephone chat with our correspondent, the former student leader described his appointment as a deliberate proof by the Atiku/Okowa movement to run a youth-friendly administration if voted into power.

While calling on youths in the country not to lose faith and hope in the country, comrade Ehiwarior expressed optimism that come 2022, Nigerian youths would experience positive change in the nation’s economy through robust governance.

He particularly enjoined students to throw their weights behind the presidential and vice presidential candidates of the PDP, as well as other candidates of the party, stressing that that way, the current challenge in the nation’s education sector would be addressed and given facelifts.

“I have been in the forefront in the student struggle in this country. First as a student and currently as aide to the Delta State Governor on Students Affairs. From my days as a student and till now, I have never seen a Government that is anti-student as the current APC Government.

“That, to a large extent is one of the major reasons Nigerian students, the youths and even our parents should be ready to take their destinies in their own hands.

“And to do this, we should be ready to seek positive change and join hands with Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Senator Ifeanyi Okowa to “rescue Nigeria” from its present economic, political, social and societal predicament” Ehiwarior said.
