Senator Philip Tenimu Aduda representing the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has been named as the new Minority Leader.
He replaces former occupant of the seat, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe representing Abia South, following his recent defection from the PDP.
Senate President, Dr. Ahmad Lawan, made the announcement in a letter he read on the floor of the Red Chamber during Tuesday’s plenary.
The letter was signed by the National Secretary of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Samuel Anyanwu.
Lawan also announced Senator Chukwuka Utazi representing Enugu North senatorial district as the Senate Minority Whip.
