The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2023 general elections, Bola Tinubu has said that he holds ‘no grudges’ against members of his party who worked against his candidature.
This is even as the former Lagos governor declared on Wednesday that he did not ‘expect to win’ the just concluded presidential primary election of the ruling party.
Tinubu, in his victory speech after the APC presidential primary at the Eagle Square, in Abuja, also thanked all the seven aspirants who stepped down for him during the primary.
Recall that the APC national leader defeated 13 other aspirants to win the primary. He polled 1,271 delegates votes to emerge as the party’s flag bearer. His closest rivals, ex-minister Rotimi Amaechi and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo scored 316 and 235 votes respectively.
