Delta South senatorial candidate of the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP), Navy Commodore Omatseye Nesiama (rtd), has presented his 10-point agenda at the Senate to His Royal Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse III, the Olu of Warri.

Commodore Nesiama, who led a delegation of party stakeholders to the Olu of Warri’s palace, said that he brought forth his agenda for royal blessing in recognition of the fatherly role of the monarch to his subjects.

While thanking the monarch for the opportunity to enter into his palace, the retired naval officer turned politician said:

“I am humbled and thankful to you, our father, for this privilege to come into the Aghofen on this day and for this purpose. The Aghofen is a highly adorable place with historical significance. This has been brought to the fore even in the course of recent events. Therefore, I do not take this opportunity for granted. Ogiame! Baba Ale-Iwere! Ogbowuru! Enedokpe Baba!!!”

metrowatchxtra.com reports that Commodore Nesiama is locked in the battle with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Chief Michael Diden aka Ejele in the general election.

He promised that if elected, he would use the office of senator to promote human capital development, attract tourism to the senatorial district, promote capital investment in the area and ensure that ministries, department and agencies, (MDAs) give the senatorial district its equitable share of resources.

Responding to the candidate, Ogiame Atuwatse III, while emphasizing the need for quality representation of the constituency in the National Assembly, urged him and other political actors to go about their activities peacefully as all eyes are focused on the 2023 general election.

“Hope is a beautiful thing, hope is a very important thing and when we look at Nigeria today, we are reminded that we need hope.

“As a people and as a minority, what we must produce is quality,” the revered monarch said in furtherance of his admonition that the people should send forth their best.
