The National Executive Council (NEC) of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), on Wednesday, at a meeting, transferred its powers to the National Working Committee (NWC) under the leadership of Senator Abdullahi Adamu for the next 90 days.
National Secretary of the APC, Senator Iyiola Omisore, told newsmen at the end of the meeting that Senate President Ahmed Lawan moved the motion and was seconded by Governor Nasir El-rufai of Kaduna state.
The NWC, which is made up of a smaller membership structure, will now, henceforth take decisions on behalf of NEC ahead of the Party’s Primaries and the 2023 general elections.
