Okowa Greets Obi Efeizomor of Owa Kingdom  at 84

Delta Governor, Sen. (Dr) Ifeanyi Okowa, has congratulated the Obi of Owa Kingdom in Ika North East Local Government Area, Obi (Dr) Emmanuel Efeizomor II, on his 84th birth anniversary.

In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Olisa Ifeajika, in Asaba, the governor noted that the Owa monarch was one of the foremost and longest serving traditional rulers in the country, with over six decades of great accomplishments in monarchical leadership.

He said that Obi Efeizomor, who is immediate past Chairman of Delta State Council of Traditional Rulers, had remained a distinguished and revered role model in kingship and an astute custodian of the culture and traditions of Owa people.

According to the governor, the Owa monarch has over the years contributed greatly to the growth and development of the kingdom and Delta State.

“On behalf of my family, the government and people of Delta, I congratulate you, Your Royal Majesty, Dr Emmanuel Efeizomor II, Obi of Owa Kingdom, on the occasion of your 84th birth anniversary.

“As a government, we thank you for your invaluable support to our administration in the past seven years and it is my belief that you will continue to make your domain a model of peace and unity in the state and country.

“Under your reign, Owa kingdom has recorded great transformation in infrastructure and human capital development.

“We thank you for being a peace-builder, a shining light and a symbol of humility and excellence in leadership, especially when you served as Chairman of Delta State Council of Traditional Rulers.

“The state government appreciates your wise counsel at all times and I thank you immensely for your contributions toward the realisation of our Stronger Delta vision.

“It is my prayer that God will continue to bless you, Your Majesty, with longer life, good health and divine wisdom to enable you to continue with your outstanding service to the kingdom, state and humanity” he stated.
